JustLiving: Toppenish Creek Landscape
Learning and understanding place, indigeneity, and the natural is different for each of us. This gathering is for people and groups who desire natural and native relationship. Yet find charitable, worktrip and academic models more systemic than creational. Honoring the conversational, questioning and mystical, folk will gather to better know themselves and their place prior to visiting the place of another.
A 1-year dynamic small-group, conversation-based, community experience. Together we learn how to authentically be ourselves, know our ancestors, and know our place. Our goal is to recall the natural of our indigenous landscapes, learn and recognize healthy individuality, create nurturing community. We know this as integrative seasonal landscape work: plants, animals, dirt, water, humanity and wind.
SEASON 1 | GERMINATING
Discover limiting systemic, institutional, ethical, and societal structures that conditions us to acquire self-limiting and oppressive beliefs. Shatter the infringing box and recognize new ways of being relational in your own community. Learn to converse and have your community become energetically, emotionally, physically, spiritually ready to engage change. Become people who live with intention to promote justice.
SEASON 2 | AUTHENTICITY
Develop vision and language to exist more authentically for the sake of others. Dig into your roots and discover your communities “why.” Open yourselves to your unique authority, strength and skillset. Create community structure that encourages landscape wellbeing.
SEASON 3 | LANDSCAPE
Expand awareness of your actual landscape. Learn the Natural of creation and how it promotes Healer identity. Hear hidden ancestorial stories. Awaken to the kinship of Life. Imagine the Mystical. Know the kinship of place
SEASON 4 | LANDING
Find ties binding your inner-self to the lives of Others. Activate your imagination of whole community. Recognize community indigeneity. Discern creative vision of landscape. Begin conversing with the Life of your place. Enter spaces other than your own with wonder, awe, and curiosity. Engage place and experience its embrace.
