Landscape Residency Application

Please write a brief narrative as to why Landscape Residency intrigues you. Many who apply are students and others who have full-time jobs. We know your life can seem overwhelmed. So, write as little as you need to tell us a little about why Landscape Residency speaks to you. If a word count is helpful, try to keep the narrative under 700 words.

Please make a note if you have health concerns or mobility issues we should be aware of.  We want to provide you the best possible access to the farm and keep you safe!  Remember, while this is a time for you to imagine and explore the intersections of justice, nature, and vocation; JustLiving Farm is a working farm and we are not able to accommodate all concerns and special circumstances.  But we will do our best!

While it is your responsibility to get yourself to and from the farm, we understand this can be a hardship for students.  We provide one $500 Travel Scholarship each year. Simply make a note at the end of your application if you have a scholarship need.  If you have the ability to donate to the farm to help another person’s residency that would be kind.  

You will be staying at the Farmhouse with Belinda and David with your own area of a bed, couch, and table. Your days will reflect the season, but you should think in terms of beginning around 6am and ending around 8pm. While there will be plenty of reflective time, the residency is about engaging the landscape. You should be ready to walk daily, work and converse with animals, water, dirt, plants.
